What is your name, home town, and favourite colour?
Hi I'm Matt Conroy I'm from the Uni city of Cambridge living in a large village next to Duxford air museum called Sawston.... My favourite colour has to be blue!
What is your funniest childhood memory?
Being a photography genius as I am when I was about 6 my mother gave me a "throw away camera", I was very pleased at this and took lots of what i can only describe as inspiring pictures! which I'm sure today would be worth millions! The problem is i never got to see the pictures.... I managed to, in my atristic madness, literally throw away the camera.... Very funny now I'm sure but i do remember crying when my mum told me i wasn't supposed the actually throw the camera away.... :(
How did you become a Christian?
The most important time for me and most effectual was when I was at soul survivor for the first time in 2007, I saw and felt gods presence and from then on I had no reason to keep god out of my life.
Which person has helped you most in your walk with God and how?
This is a difficult one because there isn't just one person, Simon and my sister Sam have supported me in every way through my journey god by being there when i needed them helping me with ways into churches and given me resources to learn! Dan Tyler made it very clear how easy it was and how much better it would be to follow god and has supported me an guided me in so many ways since i gave my life to god so i think it would have to be Simon, Sam and Dan that have helped me the most.
What is your favourite bible verse and why?
He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honour - proverbs 21:21
Why are you involved in youthpembury.net?
I am involved because I love Jesus and I believe he loves every one, therefore I want to tell as many people as I can!
What is your role as a leader?
To support the youth at the church and guide them in the best way I can.
What is your favourite song, and why?
When the sun goes down by the Arctic Monkeys because it had such an impact on how i view music!
If you could take 3 things with you to a desert island, what would you take?
Lap top (GPS), football manager, a football!
What advice would you give to young people about relationships?
What would Jesus do?
