"Having attended an Alpha course and read stuff by Nicky Gumbell and C.S. Lewis, I was not sure if reading this book was necessary. As it turns out, I'm really glad that I did. The book is short (about 120 pages) and I read it fairly quickly but I was really impressed. I have recently come to faith and have been looking for a book that I can recommend to others who are questioning the meaning of life. This is the book !! Although it is not as in-depth and intellectual as similar offerings by the two other authors mentioned above, it is extremely succinct and gives you easy access to most of the arguments for the Christian faith. It is possibly lacking in certain area's (such as proof of Jesus and the resurrection) but it gives you enough to be convincing and if you want more depth, there are plenty of specialist books concentrating on these specific areas. The book is a very good introduction and after reading the book - 'It makes sense'. This book is also reasonably priced and pocket sized, so I will have no hesitation of dishing copied out to family and friends. I also think that they would take the time to read this, whereas I'm not so sure with the other books mentioned. Go buy it !!" - Or in this case borrow it!!
