More to life than this...

Now imagine there’s a guy who’s walking through the woods. He’s on a hiking trip and after he’s been walking for about an hour, he notices something amongst the leaves. He bends down for a closer look and realises it's an ipod.
So he picks it up and its filthy, its got leaves and dirt all over it, and straight away he starts to think how did it get here?...Maybe someone dropped it?...He starts thinking about who made it and whether the maker would have been disappointed to see what had become of his ipod.
At no point would he have thought it was there without anyone making it...without any one dropping it. That it was just there and had always been there, that it didn’t have a purpose or a maker.
How often do we treat this world, even ourselves like that ipod? Do we really think we could be here without anyone making us? So many people go through life without ever thinking why or how did we get here? We enjoy life...make friends, get married, have children, but maybe we have to stop for a second and think hang on, why are we here? How are we here? Who created us?
I mean obviously our parents made us when they had a special little love cuddle, but Psalm 139:13 says “for you created my inner most being, you knitted me together in my mother’s womb”. So the bible say's God made us. I mean our parents made a baby...but God made us the people we are.
Its not unreasonable to think that the creator of the ipod (apple) would know everything there is to know about ipods...because they make them. If thats the case, it wouldn't be unreasonable, therefore, to assume God must know everything about us.
Now Jesus offers us a personal relationship with that God who made us...and therefore knows everything there is to know about us.
As God made us and knows us inside out he must know why we're here...what we were created for...what the point to our lives is.
Maybe recently you're struggling. Desperately looking for a purpose, a point to your life..or perhaps you think you know what you're here for, but you need help to do it.
I urge you to turn to God. Turn to your maker. The only person who knows everything there is to know about you, and just ask him to help you in. Ask him to give your life meaning so you can live life to the full!
